A message to Mustbin users:

I would like to take a moment to welcome all Mustbin users!

Over the last three years Mustbin has provided thousands of users like yourself safe and secure storage for your documents, cards, passwords, photos, and videos. I’m pleased to announce that Mustbin has been acquired by LifeSite. We are committed to offering the same benefits of a Mustbin membership, and more.

We realize the gravity of this change and recognize the sensitivity of the information that you’ve entrusted to Mustbin.

Here’s how we will ensure the security of your information:

  • When you log in to Mustbin after July 30th, 2017, you can opt-in for LifeSite to migrate all your existing Mustbin data to the LifeSite Vault platform. It will not be compromised or decrypted for even a second.
  • At no point will LifeSite have access to your information. Your privacy and security is our highest priority. We have no way to view your data.
  • Our security-first approach is the backbone of our business.
  • LifeSite offers the same functionality of Mustbin plus, in addition to cloud storage, LifeSite provides family sharing, secure messaging, and collaboration with advisors.

LifeSite will continue to support Mustbin until July 30, 2017. Until then, there will be no service interruptions for Mustbin. Prior to July 30th, you may delete your Mustbin account at any time by making that request to feedback@mustbin.com We encourage you to make copies of all the information you wish to save prior to emailing feedback@mustbin.com with a request to opt-out of LifeSite. Once deleted the information cannot be retrieved.

After July 30, 2017, you will no longer be able to retrieve your information from Mustbin. You will be prompted to login with your Mustbin credentials to create a LifeSite Vault account to access your Mustbin information and files. LifeSite Vault will allow you to delete your own account at any time; as well as create what’s called a “Life Booklet” which serves as a document snapshot of what you have stored in the system.

Mustbin and LifeSite were both founded with a similar vision, and we hope to earn your approval as the new and improved home for your life’s information.

How does the Mustbin acquisition affect me?
After July 30, 2017, the Mustbin mobile application will be terminated and replaced with LifeSite Vault. At that time, you must create a LifeSite Vault account to access your Mustbin information.

If you are a free user of Mustbin, you will be moved to the free LifeSite Vault system.

If you are a paying user of Mustbin, you will have the opportunity to upgrade to LifeSite Vault’s premium service.

Though it may come as a disappointment that Mustbin will be shutting down in the next few months, we are happy to offer you all the functionality of Mustbin, with even more features to help you manage and organize your important information.

Unlike Mustbin, LifeSite Vault offers storage accessible on multiple devices and platforms. With one account, you have access to your vault on your laptop, tablet and mobile devices (Android and iOS). LifeSite also offers expanded functionality including controlled collaboration and secure messaging with loved ones and trusted advisors.

What will happen to my Mustbin account?
The current Mustbin app will continue to be accessible until July 30, 2017. After that date, you will be prompted to login with your Mustbin credentials to create a LifeSite Vault account which will initiate a secure migration process that transfers your information,

At no point will LifeSite have access to your information. The transfer will occur in a manner that retains your privacy and maintains encryption at all times.

Your Mustbin account will cease to exist after your information is migrated to your new LifeSite Vault account.

If you have any information on Mustbin which you do not want deleted or transferred to LifeSite Vault, we urge you to export it now to remove it from your Mustbin account.

Will my login credentials stay the same?
Unfortunately, no. Your login credentials will change due to differences in the Mustbin and LifeSite Vault sign-up and log-in processes.

After July 30, 2017, when you log in with your Mustbin credentials, you will be asked to create a LifeSite Vault account to view your Mustbin information. At that time you will be prompted to create a new, complex password in order to use LifeSite Vault.

Why did Mustbin get acquired?
Over the years, Mustbin has delighted thousands of users by providing a safe and seamless mobile experience for users to store important information.

LifeSite’s mission is very similar. We also care about you and the privacy of your information. We are excited to provide a solution to help you securely share your information with your loved ones, family members, and trusted advisors who help you with things like finances and estate planning.
We acquired the assets of Mustbin because we identify strongly with the mission to help users conveniently and securely manage their digital lives. As the more viable long-term home for Mustbin’s users, LifeSite is eager to earn your trust and approval as your trusted partner in personal information management.

Is any action required of me?
No, not at this time. Until July 30, 2017, you may continue to use Mustbin as usual. After July 30, 2017, you will have the opportunity to create a free LifeSite Vault account to which your Mustbin information will be migrated.
